An astonishing 1,240 turned up for this race that just snowballs in popularity, year on year.
After several days of relentless downpours, come race day and right on cue, the clouds mercifully dissipated to allow for pleasant running conditions. A fresh breeze was about all there was to contend with for the hordes of enthusiastic athletic participants.
